News from around the Archdiocese of Liverpool

The Conference Centre at LACE now has two electric vehicle charge points after Centre Manager, Nicola Hitchen secured funding and Archdiocesan Surveyor, Kevin Harvey, managed the ground work and installation.

Nicola and Kevin are pictured with Archbishop Malcolm McMahon as Father Philip Inch becomes one of the first to charge his car.

The Conference Centre recently gained a Green Tourism Award for their commitment to the environment and the EV charge points were part of this initiative.

Nicola says, ‘As more people invest in electric vehicles and as the subsequent demand for charging points increase, we wanted to be proactive and introduce the infrastructure as early as possible, so that our delegates and staff have the opportunity to take full advantage of the financial and environmental benefits of a greener method of transportation, whilst cutting down on carbon emissions and making the planet a healthier place.’
